Happy Mosquito Control Awareness week everyone!

This week marks Mosquito Control Awareness Week as declared by the American Mosquito Control Association. This annual awareness program concentrates on how to help educate the public on the impact mosquitoes can have on their daily lives as well as how pest control companies can help with their mosquito population. The bed bug experts for Delaware and Maryland (that’s us!) can also eliminate a wide array of pest which also includes mosquitoes.

When someone mentions the world’s most deadly animal, what is the first animal that comes to your mind? Is it the great white sharks that we all have seen in the movie Jaws? Or is it the intimidating king of the Jungle? How about the blue whale which can weigh up to a massive 420,000 pounds? What if I were to tell you that the world’s deadliest animal is one in which we have all encountered numerous times on a hot summer day? That’s right, the deadliest animal is the mosquito. Yes, mosquitoes — the pesky bugs that suck blood and transmit viruses from one person to another. Mosquitoes are responsible for approximately 700,000 to 1,000,000 deaths world-wide per year. Mosquitoes world-wide are responsible for the transmission of certain serious diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and several forms of encephalitis, including the West Nile virus.

With summer quickly approaching us, it is extremely important to take an extra precaution against these harmful pests. Pest Control offered from Lady Bug Pest Management will not only help with your peace of mind against certain diseases that these pests carry, but also will eliminate their pesky presence!

If you are interested in finding out how you can guard your family and yourself from the potential hazards of deadly mosquitoes, give your local exterminators in Delaware a call! Let us help you enjoy the precious moments of summer.
